Nepean Residents receive Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medals

The group attending the presentation of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medals to Eric Maloney, one of Canada's few remaining Hong Veterans/Prisoners of Wars and C.R. [Ron ] McGuire. The presentation was made by Derrill Henderson, co-founder and President of the Hong Kong Veterans Commemorative Association, at Mr. Maloney's home on 24 October  2012.

Left to right are: Sandi Cameron, daughter of Cpl. Kenneth Cameron MM, Connie and Ron McGuire, Eric Maloney, Mitzi Ross, daughter of Sgt. Lance Ross and Derrill Henderson. Coincidently, they are all longtime residents of Nepean. Cpl. Cameron and Sgt Ross have passed away and were comrades and fellow POWs of Mr. Maloney during the terrible days of World War II.
