Out of the Vault: Artifacts Revealed

Out of the Vault: Artifacts Revealed (opening June 14, 2010) allows visitors to explore rarely seen artifacts from the Nepean Museum’s 14,000 item collection. Although these objects were not necessarily produced in Nepean, they were used and collected by Nepean’s citizens. Discover unique and unusual objects that you may or may not recognize from everyday life.

Nepean Fire Services

Come to the Nepean Museum to visit the new exhibit on Nepean’s Fire Services. Read about the development of the Nepean Fire Department, challenge yourself to our fire safety trivia and try to lift a 60 lb dummy - only a 1/3 of the size that training firefighters use! Also on display from our collection is a real firefighter’s uniform from the Nepean Fire Department!

Exhibit on display until November 2010.

Our Neighbourhoods, Our Community

Opening May 8th, ‘Our Neighbourhoods, Our Community’ allows visitors to glimpse into Nepean’s enchanting past. This exhibit highlights the unique characters of several neighbourhoods that were once part of Nepean.
