
Michael O’Bryne of CTV News served as our Master of Ceremonies for the afternoon. Mr. O’Bryne set the tone for the afternoon as re related a person anecdote about his visit to a War Graves Cemetery in Germany.

Bob Wilson, Vice President of the Nepean Museum conceptualized the Poppy Plaque Program in the summer of 2007. Since November of 2007, we have issued more than 800 plaques to Veterans. Mr. Wilson is acknowledging our corporate partner for this important project, Scotiabank.

Gavin Leishman, President of the Nepean Museum announced the names of the recipients while Pierre Poilievre thanked the Veterans who received the poppy plaques in a grateful reception line.
